U.S. Rate-Cut Expectations Could Reinforce Yield Curve Steepening

The Treasury curve has room to steepen as an interest-rate cut by the Fed approaches, pulling short-end yields lower, while the U.S. economy holds up well, keeping long-end yields higher, Morgan Stanley Research said.
