Alstom to Cut Workforce in Debt Reduction Plan

Alstom said it planned to scrap its dividend and cut around 1,500 jobs as part of a cost-savings plan, but shares fell sharply and could remain volatile until the question of whether it will raise capital is resolved, analysts said.
